Manager Legal Affairs – Playa Vista, CA

Job Description

An employer is looking for a Manager Legal Affairs with one of our largest clients in the New York City area. Reporting to the Director, Legal Affairs, the Manager, Legal Affairs, will provide a high level of support on a wide variety of legal, compliance, and administrative matters for the Legal Department, principally for two attorneys based in IMAXs New York office, while also supporting Company-wide Legal Department projects. In addition, this individual will be contributing to the preparation of SEC and other public company filings, including 10-Q and 10-K forms. He or she will manage key projects related to the research, implementation, and administration of new data privacy regulations and other compliance matters.

Minimum Requirements

  • 5+ years of corporate paralegal or similar support/administrative experience
  • Familiarity with SEC filings and requirements
  • Previous experience working for publicly traded companies
  • Ability to work on a wide range of matters, and willingness to take on new tasks
  • Exposure to digital asset management systems for contract use
  • A commitment to professionalism, integrity, collegiality and a good sense of humor
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Effective time management skills, with the ability to balance multiple matters concurrently in a challenging, fast-paced environment

Desired Skills

  • Bachelors degree in law or related field
  • Entertainment legal experience
